On board 86 November

Wishful thinking!

Overview

For those of you who have flown on light planes previously, you will know that they are not large inside, and the Dakota is no exception. The cabin is about the size of a small, compact car. There's no standing up or walking around and, yes, there is no lavatory!

On the Dakota there is room for one pilot and three passengers, and you will be seated in either one of the two rear seats or the right front seat. In the right front seat, you will not only have a great view forward, but will also be right in front of the instrument panel, with even more to see!

Safety & Comfort

When on board, seat and shoulder belts are worn at all times. For anyone sitting in the right front seat, the pilot will instruct you on how to open/close the cabin door (very easy!).

Seats can be reclined, and fresh air vents are located above your head and on the floor below.

We prefer beverages in bottles
As with many of the airlines these days, we do not provide beverage or meal service, but feel free to bring along a snack or beverage if you wish. NOTE: We would prefer that beverages be in bottles, and if you wish to bring a Thermos bottle containing a hot beverage, you must advise the pilot of this prior to boarding.

Noise Reduction Headphones
Light airplanes are very loud inside, thus for ease of communication, and to protect your hearing, all occupants of the airplane wear comfortable Active Noise Reduction (ANR) Headphones. You can see these headrests in the rear seat photo above. The headphones have a "boom" microphone, and are connected to the airplane's intercom system. When wearing the headphones you will place the microphone just in front of your lips, then speak in a normal voice. The intercom system is voice-activated, and there is no need to push a button when you wish to speak.
