FS2002 Splash Screen Randomizer - "SSR"

"Giving you something new to view, every time you start FS2002!"

What is SSR?

Splash Screen Randomizer is a safe, simple, FREE program, whose desktop icon is used to launch FS2002 instead of the default icon. When SSR is installed, it places a "SplashScreens" folder within the FS2002 "UIRES" folder, and this folder contains 10 different splash screens that cycle with each launch of FS2002.

You can use just the 10 included splash screens, or you can add to them with ones that you or others create. SSR allows for you to have up to 1,000 different splash screens! We even have a Photoshop layered template available, that will allow you to make professional looking splash screens (see downloads at bottom of page).

Each time you launch FS2002 using the SSR icon, a different splash screen is displayed from those included in the folder. The more splash screens you have installed, the less frequently you will see a given splash screen upon launch.

When using SSR's icon to launch FS2002, there is no additional delay in the launch of the sim. The only difference there will be is a different splash screen to view each time.

Here are some examples:

This is the default splash screen for FS2002 Professional Edition.

Here is one of the alternative splash screens included with SSR (there are also 9 others).
Here's an example of a custom splash screen that you could create.
Why did you create SSR?
Simple. As FS developers we launch FS literally dozens of times a day. As nice as the default splash screen is, even we get tired of looking at it. We created SSR just to relieve our own boredom with seeing the same splash screen over, and over, and over again, and thought we would share it with you!
How difficult is it to create my own splash screen?
It's very easy, and instructions for doing this are included with SSR. In essence, you simply need to make your artwork or screen shot, or photo, or whatever, 800x600 pixels in size. Then, upon completion of your splash screen you convert it into a "16-bit (555)" image using the Microsoft® Image Tool. Then, save your splash screen to the SplashScreens folder that SSR provides. That's it!
Can SSR be uninstalled?
Absolutely, and upon uninstalling SSR, your original, default splash screen will be back in place.
Where can I get SSR?
Right here, and remember, it's FREE!
