If you liked "COM" in the Archer, then you will
love it for the Cardinal. In addition to the many features we pioneered
with COM for the Archer, we've added more for the Cardinal.

In addition to being able to change the dome light color in both the 2D
cockpit and Virtual Cockpit, you can now also change the gauge backlighting
color on the 2D instrument panels (sorry, but it is not possible to change
the backlighting color in the VC).
With the Archer, you had a choice of the "realistic" Century
21 Autopilot, or the default FS autopilot. Now, with the Cardinal, you
will not just have a choice of 2 autopilots, but a choice of 3 complete
avionics stacks!
One is the actual stack that appears in the real 84 Charlie.
The second is a more modern version, with all newer Bendix-King® avionics
and the default FS KAP140 autopilot. The third is similar, but we have
replaced the modern KX155 Nav/Coms with the classic KX175B Nav/Coms, the
standard for general aviation Nav/Coms for many years, and still found
in many aircraft to this day.
As with the Archer, COM features the ability to set weights for all passengers
and baggage.
You can assign custom keystrokes to many of the Cardinal's unique features,
such as gauge covers, altimeter bugs, etc.
For those with slower systems, you can even select not to load the 8,
2D interior views, and use the Virtual Cockpit for these instead. You
will, of course, still retain the 3, 2D main panels, and of course have
the high resolution Virtual Cockpit panel and interior at your avail.
Want more or less hours on your aircraft engine? Change the tach hours
using COM. Now, if only pilots could do this with their real aircraft,
they could save a fortune on engine overhauls!
